We are so excited to announce the third annual Newburyport Pride from May 29th to June 1st! This fun-filled weekend will include activities and events to kick off Pride month while creating and supporting an inclusive community where everyone can be who they truly are. Our goal is to inspire, educate, and empower Newburyport to support our LGBTQ+ neighbors, friends, and visitors, while creating authentic and safe spaces for the queer community.
Sponsorship is a great way to support Newburyport Pride, while promoting your business’s commitment to equal rights for all, and showing your support for a great cause and community. Pride doesn’t happen without your help. As a valued business owner, corporate ally, or individual member of the Newburyport community, we are asking for your involvement and support. Now that Newburyport Pride is a 501(c)3 non-profit, all donations and sponsorships are tax deductible. Please note that the deadline to become a sponsor for Newburyport Pride 2025 is May 16th, 2025.

How Your Sponsorship Helps
2024 Goals Achieved: Support, Celebration & Giving Back
Annual Youth Pride Celebration - Newburyport Pride created dedicated spaces for LGBTQ+ youth to celebrate their identities, themselves and each other in a safe and loving place at no cost to them. This event is student-led and adult-supported. Approximately 50+ students attended.
First Annual Pride Festival - Taking place in Brown Square, the festival offered a place for people to gather, engage with local nonprofit organizations, and to patronize local small businesses. Our Platinum and Gold sponsors had extra large tent spaces provided by Newburyport Pride. Twenty non-profit organizations serving the LGBTQ+ community and fifteen vendors (LGBTQ+ owned or LGBTQ+ friendly), filled the square. Feedback on the festival was overwhelmingly positive and we anticipate a bigger and better festival in 2025.
Second Annual Pride Parade - Enthusiastically received by all accounts, the Newburyport Pride Parade featured hundreds of marchers, community groups, political leaders, businesses and artists. The event created a joyous and inclusive feeling of community that will continue for years to come. The length of the Parade was extended and doubled from the previous year.
Giving Back - Newburyport Pride is built on a foundation of connection and community, centering around real work needed for the LGBTQ+ community. We donated approximately 6% of sponsorship funds to the following organizations: The Point Foundation, NAGLY, Summer of Sass, and LGBT Asylum Task Force.
2025 Goals: Growth & Guidance
Newburyport Pride Growth - In 2025 we are focusing on growing in the following areas:
Grow the Pride Parade and Festival by including more community and non-profit groups, arts organizations, youth groups as well as grow the size of the parade to allow more people to view it
Include more businesses throughout Newburyport for the Pride Window Decorating Contest, featuring beautiful and creative Pride displays
Give back to the community by donating to LGBTQ+ agencies that help build up the LGBTQ+ community.
Create a Newburyport Pride Scholarship Fund - This year, we will be donating 5% of your sponsorship to a savings account created to build a scholarship fund to students who are looking to pursue their continuing education. We anticipate to have the first official release of the scholarship to a student by June of 2026.

"As a platinum sponsor, we had pride of place when the parade marched through downtown Newburyport. I loved seeing the level of community support present for such a special cause, and rejoiced that our clinic got to be right in the heart of it. I brought my kids, all decked out in fun outfits, and they were so thrilled to see our community embrace Pride out loud. Seeing the parade through their young eyes, with their mom at the front of it, was very special to me.
My favorite memory from the day came after the parade. We had a booth set up in a Brown Square. A potential client approached, and we were chatting about the clinic when one of her favorite songs came on the loudspeaker. She said to me--I'll sign up for the clinic if you dance with me. "Of course!" I said. Normally I am sitting in my white coat with computer and a table in between me and my patients. Dancing was quite a novel way to get to know her. It only could happen at Pride!
Throughout the year, our practice has grown, and our platinum sponsorship of Pride has continued to be a proven reason--we got prime visibility at Pride events through the month, got access to community members we would not otherwise have reached, and were able to clearly state our values of serving our beloved community.
